Man faces robbery charges after demanding Oxycodone, Viagra, other drugs from Orlando CVS, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 23-year-old man faces several charges after Orlando police said he handed pharmacy employees a note on Friday demanding several prescription drugs while implying he was armed.

Police said Thomas Mues handed a note to pharmacy employees at the CVS in the 4300 block of Curry Ford Road around 6 p.m. indicating he had a gun and would shoot them if he was not provided the pills listed on the note.

At the top of the hand-written note were the words “THIS IS A ARMED Robbery!!!,” along with demands for Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Xanax, Adderall, liquid codeine and Viagra to be placed into a bag.

According to a news release, officers arrived at the scene as Mues was walking out of the store. After a short chase, Mues was apprehended while still holding the note and the prescription drugs.

Police said Mues admitted to traveling to Orlando from Jacksonville to “carry out the plan” and also confessed to another similar robbery in Central Florida.
