KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Three people were airlifted to the hospital and another suffered minor injuries after a boat fire on Tuesday evening, according to the Kissimmee Fire Department.

Fire officials said they responded to the Big Toho Marina at 69 Lakeview Drive around 7 p.m. after receiving reports of a boat fire with several injuries.

According to a news release, the fire department began treating the injured and fighting the flames on a fully engulfed boat located on a trailer in the parking lot of the marina.

Fire officials said four adults were working on the boat when it erupted in flames.

Three patients were airlifted to the hospital in Orlando – two of them in critical condition – to receive treatment for severe burns, according to the release. Another person was treated at the scene for minor injuries

Because of the severity of the injuries, the state fire marshal is responding to conduct an investigation, officials said.
