OCALA, Fla. – A man has died after being shot in Ocala on Saturday, according to the Ocala Police Department.
Police said they responded to the 1700 block of NW 1st St. in reference to a shooting around 9:40 p.m.

According to a news release, officers located a man with a gunshot wound who was trauma alerted to a local hospital. He was listed in critical condition at the time, police said.
In an update at 8:38 a.m. Sunday, police said the man who was shot had succumbed to his injuries.
