FORT McCOY, Fla. – A 70-year-old Florida woman was killed and another driver was critically injured early Friday in a head-on crash in Marion County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The fatal two-vehicle wreck happened at 9:45 a.m. on County Road 314 near Forest Road 19 in Fort McCoy.

The FHP said the Salt Springs woman was driving a car east on C.R. 314 when she crossed the center line for an unknown reason and struck another vehicle head-on.
The woman died in the crash, troopers said.
The driver of the other car, a 25-year-old St. Augustine man, was taken to HCA Florida Ocala Hospital in critical condition, an FHP crash report stated.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the crash report said.
No other details have been released.
