Eustis man killed in wrong-way, head-on crash in Orange County, troopers say

Fatal crash happened in southbound lane of Orange Blossom Trail

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 42-year-old Eustis man was killed Sunday morning in a wrong-way, head-on crash in Orange County.

The fatal two-vehicle wreck happened around 2:30 a.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 42-year-old was driving his 2013 Kia Optima northbound in the southbound lane of Orange Blossom Trail near Jones Avenue when his car collided with a 2012 Toyota RAV-4 that had been traveling southbound.

The Eustis man was transported to AdventHealth Apopka where he was pronounced dead. The driver and passenger of the SUV were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
