ORLANDO, Fla. – Need ideas for how to spend this year’s Independence Day?

Listed below is what’s being offered in Central Florida throughout the Fourth of July weekend, from fireworks to live music.

Orange County

Fireworks at the Fountain

The city of Orlando is celebrating the 4th of July and the city’s 150th anniversary from 4-10 p.m. on Friday at Lake Eola in downtown Orlando for the 48th annual “Fireworks at the Fountain” event.

The free event will feature food, games and fireworks set to a live performance by the Orlando Concert Band.

The fireworks show is scheduled for 9:10 p.m.

4th of July Concert at Magic Kingdom

Disney announced the return of its “Disney’s Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” event at Magic Kingdom.

The concert, scheduled at 9:20 p.m. on July 3 and July 4, features a 14-minute fireworks show that lights up the sky with a combination of patriotic music and projection effects on Cinderella Castle.

Seminole

Star Spangled Sanford 4th of July on the Riverwalk

The city of Sanford is hosting an Independence Day celebration on the Riverwalk along Seminole Boulevard from 6-9 p.m.

The event will include a kids zone playground, food and drinks from local vendors and a fireworks show over the shores of Lake Monroe.

Celebration of Freedom

The Winter Springs Celebration of Freedom promises an unforgettable 4th of July experience for all ages at Central Winds Park from 5-9:30 p.m.

Enjoy a festive atmosphere filled with live entertainment, great food and activities for the little ones.

As the sun sets, get ready to light up the night with a spectacular fireworks display closes out this patriotic celebration.

Volusia

Daytona Beach Veterans Parade

The city of Daytona Beach is hosting a Veterans Parade on Main Street at 10 a.m. on Friday, featuring nearly 40 local military organizations.

The parade will start on Main Street at Atlantic Avenue and travel west on Main Street to the base of the Main Street Bridge.

The city is sponsoring a special Veterans Ceremony at Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort an hour before the parade, presented by local military groups.

Daytona Tortugas Baseball

The Daytona Tortugas host the St. Lucie Mets at Jackie Robinson Ballpark at 6:35 p.m. Friday, with a fireworks display planned to follow postgame.

Live Music at the Daytona Beach Bandshell

Two acts are scheduled at 7:15 p.m. over Fourth of July weekend at the Daytona Beach Bandshell.

Alter Eagles, an Eagles tribute band, plays Friday and groups Southern Cross and Bad Moon Rising, Crosby Stills Nash & Young and Creedence Clearwater Revival tributes, will perform Saturday.

A fireworks show over the ocean will follow both shows at 9:45 p.m.

Lake

Freedom on the Waterfront in Mount Dora

The city of Mount Dora is hosting its annual “Freedom on the Waterfront” event hosted at Elizabeth Evans Park and surrounding lakefront on July 3 from 4-10 p.m.

The celebration, which encourages guests to bring blankets and chairs, features food & drink vendors, a kids area, live music, a drone show and firework display.

4th of July Parade in Tavares

Lake County’s capital will be celebrating Independence Day with a parade and fireworks show.

The event, which starts with a block party on Main Street, runs from 4:45-9 p.m. After the party, a seaplane flyover signifies the start of the parade that begins going east on Main Street from the Courthouse past City Hall to St. Clair Abrams Ave.

Following the parade, festivities include live music, community vendors, food trucks, a family fun zone, tastiest pie contest, a patriotic poetry contest and finally fireworks.

Osceola

Celebration celebrates 4th of July with a parade

Celebration will be celebrating the nation’s 249th birthday with a parade scheduled to start at 8 a.m. at the Celebration Town Hall, and will head down Celebration Avenue to Market Street, finishing at Lakeside Park.

The all-day event continues with music by DJ City Beat at 5 p.m., Audio Exchange at 6:30 p.m. and the fireworks show at 9:20 p.m.

St. Cloud hosts Inaugural Independence Day Open Cornhole Competition

The city of St. Cloud announced it will be hosting the first-ever Open Cornhole Competition at its Fourth of July celebration this year. The competition will feature 20 teams, two players each, and will award first and second place with prizes. The tournament starts at 4:30 p.m. at Lakefront Park.

The city’s celebration will also include an All-American Car Show at 4:00 p.m. and a Kids Bike Parade around 6 p.m. A fireworks show set to music is scheduled to begin at 9:15 p.m.

Brevard

Shindig on Main

Heart of Brevard, a nonprofit organization dedicated to maintaining a vital downtown, is hosting a Fourth of July celebration in collaboration with the City of Brevard.

The community event will be held between 12-9:30 p.m. on Main Street and is scheduled to include a flag raising ceremony, live music, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, food trucks and a firework extravaganza.

Brevard County Sheriff’s Office 4th of July Parade

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is hosting its annual Independence Day parade starting at Merritt Island High School, 100 Mustang Way, at 10 a.m. then heading south along Courtney Parkway before turning east on Merritt Avenue.

The parade will be led by Sheriff Wayne Ivey and his K-9 partner Saint, the Sheriff’s Office announced. The procession will conclude at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School.

Flagler

United Flagler 4th Community Celebration

The Flagler County Government and the cities of Palm Coast, Flagler Beach and Bunnell are hosting their annual “United Flagler 4th” celebration, beginning with a parade at 9 a.m., presented by the Rotary Club of Flagler Beach. The route will travel from North 6th Street to South 6th Street along A1A in Flagler Beach.

Guests are welcome to enjoy live music and entertainment at Veterans Park in Flagler Beach until the gates open at the Flagler Executive Airport off of Fin Way at 5 p.m. for the “Fireworks Over the Runways” show at 9 pm.

Marion

Iggy’s ‘Four on the Fourth’ Freedom Run

In honor of Greg “Iggy” Miller, a former Captain/Executive Officer for the Ocala Police Department and member of the runners club, the annual four-mile run dubbed “Four on the Fourth” is being held on July 4.

The run starts and ends at Veterans Memorial Park, winding on a course through the quiet, tree shaded residential neighborhood. Registration opens at 6:30 a.m. and the run begins at 7:30 a.m. Awards will be presented at 8:45 a.m.

Sumter

Wildwood’s ‘Happy Birthday America’

The city of Wildwood is hosting its “Happy Birthday America” event the day before Independence Day on July 3.

At the Wildwood Community Center between 6-10 p.m. guests can enjoy live music, food vendors, giveaways, a kids zone and fireworks scheduled at 9 p.m.
