APOPKA, Fla. – A call for service led officers to discover two dead bodies at a general store in Apopka on Friday night, according to the police department.
In a release, police said that they received a call for service shortly before 9 p.m. at the Griffin General Store, located at 262 W. Michael Gladden Blvd.
Upon arrival, they found the bodies, though detectives said it’s still not clear whether the incident involved a homicide or a possible murder-suicide.
“The scene remains secured as investigators process evidence and work to determine exactly what occurred,” the release reads. “There is no known ongoing threat to the public.”
However, the police department announced that there will be an “increased presence in the area” as a precaution.
