POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk County deputies say a small plane hit power lines and then crashed shortly after takeoff around 11:30 a.m. today.
Deputies say it happened on State Road 60 near Mulberry.
The pilot and a passenger — a father and son — were taken to a hospital, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies say they’re expected to be OK.
