Man charged in death of man found on Turnpike

Suspect charged with first-degree murder, deputies said

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A man has been charged with first-degree murder of a man whose body was found along the Florida Turnpike.

Osceola county deputies arrested and charged Roger Ramiro Sevilla Matute, 36, with first-degree murder Friday.

Matute was charged with the death of Jose Manuel Nolasco-Amaya, 37, who was last seen with Matute on July 31, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Nolasco-Amaya’s body was discovered near mile marker 226, just north of Canoe Creek Road in Osceola county.

On Aug. 4, Matute was brought in for questions, but did not cooperate with the investigation, deputies said.

Based on the evidence, Matute was charged with first-degree murder and booked into the Osceola County Jail with no bond.

Deputies are still investigating.
