Teconsa Tyree McDonald, 22, dies in shooting, deputies say

FORT MEADE, Fla. – One man was killed and two others were injured Monday in a shooting in Polk County over a missing dog, deputies said.

The triple shooting was reported at 6:42 p.m. on 3rd Street SW in Fort Meade.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said Teconsa Tyree McDonald, 22, died in the shooting. The other victims were identified as Calvin Johnson, 30, and Edwin Burgess, 18.

Deputies said the men were looking for their dog and knocked on a neighbor's door. Charles Peddycoart, 48, opened the door and an argument ensued, deputies said.

Peddycoart shot all three men on his front porch, according to deputies.

McDonald died at the scene, and Johnson and Burgess were taken to a hospital, where they underwent surgery, deputies said. Their conditions are unknown.

An investigation is ongoing.
