This week I was invited to the Fall Into Magic kick-off at Disney Springs.
Among the highlights was a tasting at Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar. The beloved Indiana Jones-inspired watering hole is once again leaning into the season with themed food and drinks that draw crowds well before Halloween arrives.
Chef Gary Miles said the Disney Springs culinary team had been crafting the menu since January.
My favorite item on the spread was Candelabra Eggs. When it came to crafting such a toothsome bite and striking presentation, I asked, “What came first, the deviled egg or the candelabra?”
Gary said they are always looking to maximize their deviled egg recipe, and the candelabra for the Halloween season was a natural choice.

D23 quick predictions 🎤
D23 is underway on the West Coast, and the internet is buzzing with predictions on what the major park announcements will be.
Two years ago, Disney dropped blockbuster attraction announcements now under construction at Walt Disney World. Based on the released photos of upcoming attraction models at the ultimate fan event, we’ll likely be getting updates for Villains Land, Piston Peak, and Tropical Americas.
I’m hoping for an official name of the Indiana Jones ride.
I also agree with my colleague and theme park historian Ken Pilcher on this prediction:
“Rumors are swirling about a top-to-bottom gut and rebuild of Space Mountain. I think that is the most likely new project we might hear about. Insiders insist Disney looked at re-tracking the whole ride during the last major refurb in 2009. The coaster is 51 years old.”
Given that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad just had a sweeping refurbishment, a Space Mountain revamp seems like a natural next choice.
