Gators to play LSU Nov. 19 in Baton Rouge

Hurricane Matthew postponed October matchup

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators and the LSU Tigers have rescheduled their postponed football game after Hurricane Matthew.

The makeup game will be played on Nov. 19 in Baton Rouge instead of Gainesville. League rules say that teams must play eight games to qualify for the SEC championship.

With Florida still alive in the hunt for an SEC title, the school was forced to accept the change in venue.

The 2017 game will be played in Gainesville to make up for the swap.

Both teams will exercise their cancellation clause to get out of previously scheduled games with the University of South Alabama and Presbyterian College.
