NEW ORLEANS – When Orlando Magic star Aaron Gordon steps onto the floor of the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on Saturday, vengeance will be on his mind.

In last year's hotly contested slam dunk contest, Air Gordon came up just short against Minnesota Timberwolves high-flyer Zach LaVine. However, when the 21-year-old takes flight this year, it won't be against LaVine, the two-time champion who opted out of this year's competition.

To bring home the win, Gordon will have to top Los Angeles Clippers big man DeAndre Jordan, the Indiana Pacers Glenn Robinson III and Phoenix Suns rookie Derrick Jones Jr., who in seven career games has only attempted seven shots.

In an interview with the NBA on TNT, Gordon said he is only focused on putting on a show.

"I really don't care who else is in the competition For me, it's just to go out there, put on a show, dunk the basketball, do something for the culture," said Gordon.
