Pieces of Fury

An update from the other side of I-4. Busch Gardens sent out these photos of some of the sections of its new thrill ride "Falcons Fury" arriving at the port of Tampa.
What will be North America's tallest freestanding drop tower arrived in 9 easy pieces from Spain.

When put back together into one ginormous tower, the whole thing will feature more than a million pounds of steel.

It took a month-long voyage across the Atlantic and into the Gulf and two days to truck them to Busch Gardens.

Smaller pieces have arrived from Slovakia, Switzerland and Germany,
The 335-foot tall ride will go up soon. Here is art of what it will look like.

As we first told you in June, when it opens next Spring "Falcons Fury" will drop riders 60 miles per hour straight down. A special first-of-its-kind feature will rotate the seats at the top -- pivot 90 degrees -- so riders are looking face down at the drop of doom.

Here's a link to The Busch Gardens web page for the ride
And in this classic Theme World entry, you can see more concept art and a video of what the drop will look like.

We, of course, will keep you posted.

Keep your emails, questions, tips and comments coming! I always appreciate the feedback.
