College football bowl game matchups set for Orlando’s 3-game season

The Cure Bowl, Pop-Tarts Bowl, and Citrus Bowl all returning

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando is gearing up for another season of college football excitement, as the StaffDNA Cure Bowl, Pop-Tarts Bowl, and Citrus Bowl are all set to return to Central Florida.

Up first is the StaffDNA Cure Bowl scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m on Dec. 22 at the Acrisure Bounce House. The matchup for the teams involved will be announced on Dec. 6.

“We are honored to provide a platform to highlight our mission of bringing teams together to find a cure for cancer,” said Alan Gooch, CEO of the Orlando Sports Foundation and Executive Director of the StaffDNA Cure Bowl.

In the past 11 years, the Cure Bowl has helped raise $6.69 million for cancer Research and has benefited the Orlando community, as researcher Dr. Annette Khaled at the UCF College of Medicine receives over $3.68 million of the funds distributed.

The Pop-Tarts Bowl is set to return on Dec. 29 at 5:30 p.m. The event will be hosted at Camping World Stadium with limited capacity due to the venue’s current $400 million renovation set to be completed in 2027.

Then on Jan. 2 at the Camping World Stadium, the 81st annual Citrus Bowl will have a noon kick-off and feature a team from the Big Ten and Southeastern Conference (SEC).
