ORLANDO, Fla. – The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man ride reopens at Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure theme park after a major overhaul.
The ride reopened at 8:30 a.m. Thursday after it was shut down in February for a major overhaul.
Universal says the the improvements make the ride -- one of the park's most popular attractions -- feel like a brand new adventure.
The new high-definition 3-D animation allows guests to see more details, the park says. An in-vehicle sound system also offers a brand new music score with 3-D sound quality.
Spider-Man's creator, Stan Lee, also makes an appearance in the new animation.
