ORLANDO, Fla – In case "Star Wars" fans didn't have enough to look forward to in December, Walt Disney World announced this week new details for the much-anticipated return of "Star Wars: Galactic Nights."
Taking place on Dec. 16, a day after the theatrical release of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," "Galactic Nights" is an event that transforms Disney's Hollywood Studios into an interstellar celebration of all things related to the series of films.

Special to this year's proceedings will be an appearance by longtime "Star Wars" actor Warwick Davis, best known for his role as Wicket the Ewok in "Return of the Jedi." Davis has also performed various roles in the prequel trilogy of "Star Wars" films, and will be appearing in "The Last Jedi" this year.
Also announced for this year's "Galactic Nights" will be an "Inside Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" panel discussion with members of the Walt Disney Imagineering and Lucasfilm team. Hosted by actor David Collins, this panel will give attendees an inside look at "Star Wars: Galaxy Edge" lands coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disneyland, which are currently under construction.
Previously announced events that will take place at "Galactic Nights" are a fireworks and stage show, photo ops throughout a Hollywood Studios transformed into various locales from the films, Star Wars projections on the Hollywood Tower Hotel, opportunities to meet "Star Wars" characters and specialty food and beverages.
Guests of all ages are encouraged to dress up in "Star Wars"-themed costumes, but guidelines for what is allowed to be worn can be located here.
"Star Wars: Galactic Knights" will take place on Dec. 16 from 7 p.m. to midnight. Tickets begin at $124 for ages 3-9, $129 for adults, and discounts are available for annual Passholders and DVC members. Tickets can be purchased here or by calling 407-W-DISNEY (407 934-7639).
