A 55-year-old Dunnellon man was heading east in a sedan on County Road 484 and a 23-year-old Ocala man was driving west on the road, according to FHP. Troopers said a 60-year-old Crystal River man was driving a pickup truck towing a 12-foot trailer eastbound on State Road 200 near County Road 484 around 6:20 a.m. when he failed to maintain his lane and entered into the westbound lane. After the initial crash, troopers said the truck hit the left side of a second sedan that was also in the westbound lane. The 39-year-old woman driving the first sedan and a 16-year-old girl who was in the back seat died at the scene of the crash. The 73-year-old woman driving the second sedan also died at the scene of the crash.
