While the ramp is officially open for business, there’s a good chance many drivers don’t fully understand what it’s meant to do or how much of a difference it could make for local traffic patterns and congestion relief.

A new traffic pattern could ease congestion in one of Central Florida’s busiest areas.

The project will add three new I-4 ramps to Daryl Carter Parkway.

Florida’s ever-popular grocery chain has plenty of interesting features, though one location in particular has an odd sight in store for visitors.

Some cities have far more Publix stores than others, though even more locations are on the way across the state.

The change is made part of the project to expand express lanes in the area.

Westbound traffic will now shift around 12 feet toward the median on a temporary stretch of road between Central Florida and Daryl Carter parkways.

“I-4 Beyond The Ultimate” project is expected to start just west of Sand Lake Road and end west of State Road 536, creating an express lane that bypasses most of the theme parks.

The Florida Department of Transportation is seeking public input on proposed improvements to Interstate 4 in Orange County — including the Sand Lake Road interchange, Daryl Carter Parkway partial interchange improvements and extensions to I-4 managed lanes.
