Ron DeSantis announced Wednesday that a vaccine pod will be stationed in a retirement community in Polk County. The temporary vaccine site would be stationed in Winter Haven at Four Lakes Golf Club Retirement Community, a mobile home park. DeSantis made the announcement during a news conference Wednesday morning in Pasco County, where a similar vaccination site opened. As of Tuesday, data from the Florida Department of Health show 36,685 have been fully vaccinated within Polk County.
