LAKE CITY, Fla. โ Days before Florida expands its COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to people 60 and older, Gov. Ron DeSantis is already looking to open up vaccinations to all Floridians. AdThe governor had said Wednesday that he hopes to open vaccinations to everyone after people 55 and older get inoculated. โWe will do 55 this month Iโm pretty confident, unless thereโs some major change in the vaccine supply,โ DeSantis said. While the state is expanding its retail pharmacy vaccinations, the supply of vaccine to the state is also increasing.
Salt Life founder facing manslaughter charge in Florida teenโs death
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. โ A founder of the Salt Life clothing brand is facing a manslaughter charge in the death of an 18-year-old woman at a Florida hotel. Investigators have not said how they believe Hutto is connected to Duncanโs death or if they had a relationship. Duncan was from Lake City, a town 60 miles west of Jacksonville. Hutto and some friends started Salt Life in 2003, its brand aimed at boaters, surfers and fishermen who spend time on the ocean. He will be transferred to Palm Beach County, where he will face an initial court hearing and more details will be released.
Arrest made in fatal shooting in Apopka
APOPKA, Fla. An arrest has been made in a fatal shooting in Apopka, court records show. Lauren Sanchez, 32, of Lake City is facing a charge of second-degree murder.
