I-75 reopens in Ocala after 2 big rigs crash

Wreck reported on I-75 north near SR-200

OCALA, Fla. – A crash involving two tractor-trailers Saturday morning shut down Interstate 75 in Ocala, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The wreck was reported on I-75 north at State Road 200.

All northbound I-75 lanes were blocked, but the interstate reopened around 11:15 a.m., according to troopers.

Exit 350, the S.R. 200 off-ramp remains closed. As of 11:15 a.m., traffic was backed up to about a mile south of the Turnpike interchange.

Details about the crash have not been released, but it happened as strong storms — and a possible tornado — rolled through the area.
