22-year-old Port Orange woman killed in crash with tree along I-95

PORT ORANGE, Fla. – A 22-year-old Port Orange woman was killed Thursday morning in a single-vehicle crash along I-95 in Volusia County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal wreck was reported at 5:25 a.m. on southbound I-95 near County Road 4009 in the Port Orange area.

The FHP said the woman was driving a 2008 Toyota Yaris south on I-95 when she ran off the road for an unknown reason and struck a tree.

The woman, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

No other crash details were released.

The right lane of southbound I-95 was closed during an investigation.
