Warm, breezy day in Central Florida, but changes coming

Cold front to drop temperatures by end of week

ORLANDO, Fla. – It will be a warm, breezy day in Central Florida, but changes are coming.

"An east breeze will kick up once again Tuesday afternoon," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "Winds will gust near 20 mph. Because of that breeze off the ocean waters, we cannot rule out one or two quick-moving showers along the immediate coast, mainly for the evening hours."

The afternoon high will hit 86 on Tuesday in Orlando. The average high for this time of year is 83.

Wednesday's high will be 85, but then a cold front arrives.

"We're back to the 70s for highs on Friday into the weekend as the front moves in," Bridges said. "Rain chances will be 20 percent on Wednesday, 10 percent on Thursday and 30 percent on Friday."

The front will drop temperatures into the 50s for morning lows over the weekend, with highs in the mid- and upper 70s.
