ORLANDO, Fla. – The National Hurricane Center on Wednesday highlighted an area in the Atlantic for possible tropical development.
In its 2 p.m. tropical outlook, the NHC said a tropical wave is expected to move off the coast of Africa and has a 20% chance of developing into a tropical system over the next two to seven days.
The tropical wave is expected to move off the coast of Africa soon, and conditions look favorable for possible tropical formation.
It’s still early, but it’s something the NHC will be monitoring closely as it moves at about 10-15 mph, with the potential for more development over the weekend or into next week.
