ORLANDO, Fla. – As of Thursday at 2 p.m., the National Hurricane Center’s tropical outlook has raised the likelihood of tropical formation for Invest 91L over the next two to seven days.
The odds have increased to 60% within two days and 90% within seven days.
Atmospheric conditions are favorable for development and a tropical depression could form this week or weekend. Recent satellite imagery shows improved organization, suggesting a slow, gradual development.

Depending on the steering flow, the system could either move westward or northward in the next 10 to 14 days.
There’s still plenty of time to monitor and model forecasts are expected to continue fluctuating. If it develops into a storm, it will be named Gabrielle.
