Rain falls across Central Florida

Wet weather expected most of Thanksgiving week

ORLANDO, Fla. – Rain chances ramped up Tuesday in Central Florida, and the wet weather is expected to last through Black Friday.

"We are pinpointing an area of low pressure developing in the Gulf of Mexico, along with south winds bringing in more humid air and a front that will slide north across Central Florida," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "All of these dynamics will lead to rain across most of the region."

Expect high temperatures in the upper 70s in Orlando through Thursday. Highs will be in the low 70s on Friday.

"Just in time for the weekend, we dry out," Bridges said. "Morning lows will be in the 50s and afternoon highs will be in the low and mid-70s."

The average high in Orlando on this date is 78 degrees.

"There was no rain in Orlando on Monday, putting the deficit at 1.26 inches since January 1," Bridges said.
