COCOA, Fla. – Brevard County deputies are searching for the suspect in a double shooting in a parking lot of a Cocoa Waffle House early Friday morning.
Deputies said the shooting occurred at the Waffle House near Interstate 95 and State Road 520 at around 2:30 a.m. after an altercation started at Club Vibez.
Approximately 35-40 people were gathered in the parking lot of the diner when shots were fired. Deputies said they believe there may be two shooters involved.
Deputies also said they believe a white Camry is involved and that the shooting was not random.
A woman was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center in critical condition with a gunshot wound in the abdomen. A man was was treated and released at Wuesthoff Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The shooter has not been arrested and deputies are continuing the search.
