An Orange County court ruled on Friday that a third-party was not allowed to determine whether a driver ran a red light or not.
Kelly Hastings filed a lawsuit against the city of Orlando after she got a red light ticket, arguing a third party shouldn't be allowed to issue tickets.
The city of Orlando uses American Traffic Solutions, which is a company that determines infractions and a traffic officer signs off on it.
The court ruled in favor of Hastings on Friday.
The decision could impact future red light tickets in Orlando disputed by drivers.
