Orange County deputies respond to bank robbery

Trustco bank robbed of undisclosed amount of cash

Suspect of bank robbery

ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orlando bank was robbed, and authorities believed it is the same man that robbed a TD Mercantile Bank Tuesday as well as the Subway and Congo River holdups from last week.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office responded to a call at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday from Trustco Bank at 10249 S. John Young Parkway in Orlando.

Deputies said that a black man, approximately 30 to 40 years old, entered the bank and demanded money while displaying a firearm.

The man ran out of the bank with an unknown but small amount of money, and there were no injuries, officials said.

Deputies said they believe this is the same man that robbed TD Mercantile Bank at 4675 S. Kirkman Road in Orlando on Tuesday and a Subway at 6143 Westwood Blvd. on May 29. It's also possible that the man is responsible for the robbery at Congo River, at 5901 International Drive, on May 27.
