Man caught putting phone under girl's skirt at Florida Mall, deputies say

Robert Wilkinson, 28, charged with video voyeurism, possession of child porn

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man has been arrested after he was observed putting a phone beneath the skirt of a 12-year-old child at a Starbucks in the Florida Mall, Orange County deputies said.

The alleged act by Robert Wilkinson, 28, was captured on a store video, officials said.

According to an affidavit for his arrest, Wilkinson was caught in the act by a customer.

"He actually saw the act occur," said Detective Michael Kleinfelt, who is investigating the case. "He saw the defendant kneel down behind the girl and saw his phone by the skirt of the young lady, the 12 year old child."

While Kleinfelt was investigating the case at Starbucks, the affidavit says he spoke to other employees and found out that Wilkinson was actually under investigation with the Orlando Police Department for another incident at his second job at Cole Haan outlet store on International Drive.

"Through witness interviews and speaking with employees I learned of the second incident which occurred at Cole Haan and then reached out to them and obtained further details from that incident of what he had done and made contact with that victim," Kleinfelt told News 6.

Deputies said that 9-year-old reported that Wilkinson had intentionally exposed himself to her while she and her family were inside the store back in April.

Deputies said during both incidents Wilkinson was working as an employee at both places and are concerned that there may be more victims.

"Throughout my investigation I have discovered things and I would still like people to take a look at his picture and see if they recognize him and see if they reach out to us," Kleinfelt told News 6.

Right now, Wilkinson faces charges of video voyeurism, possession of child pornography and exposing sexual organs.

A judge on Thursday issued Wilkinson a bond of $50,000 and ordered him not to have contact with anyone under the age of 18. Wilkinson must also not use the internet, the judge said.

Deputies say he was fired immediately from both stores. News 6 reached out to both Cole Haan and Starbucks for a statement, only Starbucks has replied back saying in an email:

"We were extremely troubled to learn of this incident, and have worked directly with the customer, her family, and local authorities to immediately address the situation. This former partner’s actions are absolutely unacceptable and not indicative of our high standards of conduct. This individual no longer works for Starbucks, and we will continue to support local authorities in any way we can."
