Man faces attempted murder, attempted arson charges

Orange County deputies say 28-year-old tried to set home ablaze

ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orange County man is facing charges after deputies say he tried to set a home on fire. 

Deputies say Jeremy Golden, 28, poured gasoline on a West Pine Hills Circle house Monday night. He then told everyone inside, including his ex-girlfriend, that they had 10 seconds to get out before he lit a match, according to deputies.

Golden never started the fire and was taken to a hospital after complaining of being dehydrated, officials said.

He faces charges of attempted arson and three counts of attempted murder.

No injuries were reported.
