ORLANDO, Fla. – A 51-year-old woman was run over by a car driven by her husband while she was trying to stop him from leaving their Orange County home, deputies said.
The woman was taken to Florida Hospital East with serious injuries, but her condition is not known.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the 7600 block of Boreas Drive in Orlando, where a woman was run over by a Nissan Versa.
Deputies said a 53-year-old man was trying to leave the home after an argument, and his wife tried to stop him. The woman ended up under the vehicle, deputies said.
The Sheriff's Office classified the case as aggravated battery (domestic violence), but it's not known if the victim's husband was arrested or faces any charges.
No other details have been released.
