Masked robbers shoot through Orlando pharmacy window, deputies say

2 suspects in custody, deputies searching for third person

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Three men held up Walgreens employees at gunpoint early Thursday morning and fired shots through a locked window when they were unable to access the Orlando pharmacy, officials with the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

Several employees and a delivery driver were inside the Walgreens at 12100 S. Apopka Vineland Rd. at 4:21 a.m. when three masked men armed with two handguns entered the store, deputies said.

One of the suspects forced the Walgreens manager to open the safe and the suspects attempted to get into the pharmacy which was closed and locked, according to the report.

Unable to gain access, one of the masked men fired a round at the pharmacy window, deputies said.

It's unclear how much or what was stolen.

Deputies tracked two of the suspects to a nearby hotel and arrested them after a foot pursuit. Authorities are still searching for the third person involved.
