Winter Park woman attacked, robbed leaving restaurant, police say

Police: Men steal from woman in Miller's Ale House parking lot

WINTER PARK, Fla. – A Winter Park woman was attacked Sunday night while leaving a restaurant and the two suspects have not been caught, police said.

Police said the woman was walking to her vehicle in the parking lot at Miller's Ale House around 11:30 p.m. when she was held at gunpoint and robbed by two men.

"It's concerning, very concerning. You don't really see that type of thing happening in this area," customer David Yovaish said.

An employee at the restaurant said the woman ran back inside the restaurant with a gash on her head and was screaming that someone had hit her with a gun and taken her belongings.

News 6 reached out to Miller's Ale House's corporate office for comment and received the following statement as a reply:

"There is nothing more important than the safety of our guests and team members. It was an unfortunate Winter Park Village incident," the spokesman said. "It is our policy to not comment on any on-going investigations."

Company officials said they are fully cooperating with Winter Park police during the investigation.

Police said one of the men was wearing a blue hoodie with orange and white print on it. The other man was described as skinny and had a pink blanket. Police said they both took off in a black sedan.

Anyone with information about the men's whereabouts is asked to call Winter Park Police.
