Woman arrested after shooting man in Wedgefield subdivision, deputies say

Deputies: Ex-wife shoots victim, causing non-life-threatening injuries

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was taken into custody after her ex-husband was wounded in a shooting Saturday morning in the Wedgefield subdivision, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies went to the 2700 block of Abbey Avenue about 9:17 a.m. after receiving a report of a 64-year-old man with a gunshot wound.

Deputies said that during a dispute, the 60-year-old woman shot her ex-husband, causing non-life-threatening injuries. The woman was arrested.

The man was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released, deputies said.

Deputies said the case is active and ongoing.
