THE VILLAGES, Fla. – A fire fully engulfed a home in The Villages on Wednesday, resulting in visible walls of flames that extended past the roof.

The fire occurred at a home off Lake Panasoffkee just after midnight. Firefighters said the single-story structure sustained heavy fire damage, but no injuries were reported.
Ten emergency vehicles, from both Sumter County Fire and The Villages Public Safety Department, responded to the scene.
