Orlando police make arrest in shooting in Parramore neighborhood

Shooting happened around 5:55 p.m. Wednesday

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Police Department said officers arrested a suspect in a shooting in the Parramore neighborhood at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday.

Investigators said officers responded to the 800 block of McFall Avenue for the shooting.

Officers said when they arrived at the scene, they found the victim in the backyard with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition, according to police.

Authorities said the victim and the suspect know each other.

Eloise Arnold said that she was inside her home when the man was shot.

"I didn't hear no shot, didn't see no one," said Arnold.  "I'm very concerned about it. OK, very concerned. That's right here in my neighborhood."

Arnold said the scene reminded her of 20 years ago, when her son was killed from a shooting on the same street.

"Yes, I do want it to stop," said Arnold. “These guns need to be taken away from all these young people, old people too. Middle aged people. All people. I don’t like guns.”

Arnold said that no arrests were made in her son's death.

This is a developing story. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
