Child serial rapist is 'real life boogeyman'

1,000 pairs of soiled little girls underwear found in home

FALLS TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Police in a Pennsylvania town have captured a serial child rapist that is considered to be a "real life boogeyman."

William Charles Thomas, 58, was taken into custody, accused of raping and molesting children in cases that go back 40 years.

In addition to the boogeyman comment, prosecutors called Thomas "a parent's worst nightmare."

WPVI reports the victims ranged in age from two to 10 years old.

Over 1,000 pairs of soiled little girls underwear were found in Thomas' trailer in Bucks County. Authorities also found over 1,000 pornographic child images in the home.

"These pairs of underwear were displayed almost throughout his mobile trailer home." said Bucks County district attorney Matthew Weintraub. "This was a perverse shrine to his criminal conquests."

Thomas was arrested after a man found handwritten notes about various children on a piece of plywood in Thomas' old home.
