ORLANDO, Fla. – A felon with a long list of convictions was arrested Thursday in possession of about 100 grams of cannabis, an AK-47 and more than 500 rounds of ammunition, according to the Orlando Police Department.
Management at Windsor Cove Apartment Complex called police about suspected drug activity in one of the units. When the officer arrived, he said he could smell marijuana smoke so he knocked on the door.

After a few minutes, Shacoi Jabari Williams, 23, came outside to meet the officer and admitted that he had just been smoking, the police report said. Williams told the officer that it was his girlfriend's apartment and she didn't want anyone inside, so they would need to wait for her to get home, according to the affidavit.
The officer obtained a search warrant after Williams said he had three "zips" in the apartment, police said. "Zip" is a term for a sandwich bag that holds an ounce of an illegal substance.
Officers searched the apartment and said they found a black .40-caliber Smith and Wesson handgun with a loaded extended magazine wedged between the wall and a bed, an AK-47, a black box containing a bag of .40-caliber ammunition, a 12-round .40-caliber magazine and a 9mm extended magazine, four sandwich-sized bags of a green leafy substance thought to be 793 grams of marijuana, 500 rounds of ammunition in a green military-style container, three 9mm Glock magazines, an iPad with someone's name engraved on it, two hair extensions that still had security sensors attached, and a Bible-shaped box containing cannabis and rolling papers, according to the arrest report.
Williams, who is a convicted felon, was arrested on charges of grand theft of a firearm, possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to sell and 11 counts of possession of a firearm or ammo by a convicted felon.
