SUV overturns in crash involving school bus carrying 1 student in Orange County, troopers say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A SUV overturned after crashing into a school bus carrying one student early Thursday morning in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said a school bus was turning onto University Boulevard from Econlockhatchee Trail when it was struck by a SUV traveling east on University at 6:05 a.m. The impact of the crash caused the SUV to overturn, according to the FHP.

A girl on the school bus was transported with minor injuries along with the driver of the SUV, according to troopers.

The FHP said witnesses told troopers the bus was making a right turn as the light for the SUV changed from red to green.

Troopers are working to learn which vehicle had the right of way.

The crash remains under investigation.
