ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – A 46-year-old Altamonte Springs man won $1 million from a scratch-off game at Wawa, according to the Florida Lottery.

Lottery officials said Tavores Tymes chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $880,000 after being a winner of the $5 Gold Rush Supreme scratch-off game.

Tymes purchased his ticket from the Wawa on 1390 East Altamonte Drive, according to lottery officials.

For selling the winning ticket, the retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission, according to officials.
