ORLANDO, Fla. – Heavy rain from overnight storms damaged multiple units at an Orlando apartment complex, prompting the American Red Cross to provide emergency assistance for 14 people, 11 of whom were displaced, officials said Saturday.

At Summerfield Apartments on Kirkman Road, which an Orlando Fire Department spokesperson said were under construction at the time, city code enforcement condemned at least eight damaged units until repairs could be made.
