2 men arrested in Orlando, Apopka bank robberies, police say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Two men were arrested following a pair of bank robberies last week in Orlando and Apopka, according to police

Robert Sweet, 36, and Markel Key, 20, were booked into Orange County jail Friday.

According to police, a masked man with a gun took a large amount of money from Fifth Third Bank in Orlando on Aug. 30. Police said the crook was able to get away thanks to the help of a getaway driver.

The men in that robbery were linked to another armed robbery on Sept. 2 at a Fifth Third Bank in Apopka, police said.

Investigators said Sweet and Key confessed to the robberies.
