Bank robber sought after authorities give him car, bag of money

The Georgian Interior Ministry didn't immediately comment on how many people were taken hostage Wednesday in the western town of Zugdidi or what demands their captor had made. An armed man took bank employees and customers hostage in the town of Zugdidi in western Georgia on Wednesday, demanding $500,000 in cash. After authorities provided him with the money and a car that he wanted, the assailant freed most of the hostages and drove away with three remaining captives.
Man sought in attempted Winter Park bank robbery
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Sheriff’s deputies are seeking information about a man who attempted to rob a bank in Winter Park Tuesday. Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to an attempted robbery around 9:14 a.m. at 7606 Aloma Ave. in east Orange County. In a tweet, the Sheriff’s Office said the man entered the bank and attempted to commit a bank robbery but thankfully, no one was injured. Police: Same suspect may be behind Florida ATM explosions
TAMPA, Fla. – A thief who authorities in Florida said likely blew up three ATMs was able to take money from a Regions Bank in Valrico on Sunday. The other explosions happened at a BB&T in Oldsmar in November and a Pilot Bank in Tampa in December. The suspect may be working with an accomplice but was often seen on surveillance video acting alone, Chronister said. The thief was seen on surveillance images wearing dark clothing with a cloth mask that only revealed his eyes.
Surveillance video released in Trustco bank robbery
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies are hoping newly released surveillance video will lead to the arrest of a man wanted for robbing an Orange County bank. The video shows the man walking into the Trustco on South John Young Parkway Monday morning. Investigators say the man implied he had a weapon and then handed a teller a note demanding money.
