Celebrate all things Irish at St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Oviedo

Event complete with everything green and a shamrockin’ good time

OVIEDO, Fla. – St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and Oviedo is hosting an unforgettable celebration you don’t want to miss.

The St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Oviedo will be Dublin-ing the fun for the Irish holiday at Center Lake Park, 299 Center Lake Lane. The festival will take place on Friday, March 17 from 5-9 p.m. to Saturday, March 18 from 4-10 p.m.

The Irish celebration will feature live entertainment, Irish cuisine offered by food trucks and Irish draft beer such as Guinness, Smithwicks and Harp. Festivities for children include face painting, stilt walkers, a photo booth, Irish step dancers, balloon artists and jugglers.

Children are encouraged to dress like a leprechaun, according to the city’s website.

On Friday, The Fiddler and Crossroads along with Paddy O’Furniture are performing at the festival. Playing on Saturday are the Bangers and Mash and Irish musicians The Byrne Brothers.

The festival’s live entertainment will be performed at the Oviedo Amphitheatre.

The family-friendly event is free for all attendants, however, participants are able to purchase a beer punch card to avoid long lines at the event. Prices range from $25 to $100, with one card carrying four punches to utilize.

Punch cards can be picked up at the the Oviedo Cultural center with proper identification.
