ORLANDO, Fla. – An alert for Lake Lawne advising that water contact activities associated with Lake Lawne cease following a blockage in a public sanitary line has been lifted, officials said.
In a news release issued Monday morning, city officials announced a Lake Alert for Lake Lawne due to a sanitary sewer overflow near the intersection of Mercy Drive and W D Judge Drive.

The overflow had a volume of 1,650 gallons, officials said, and city water reclamation crews removed the blockage and cleaned the impacted areas.
City personnel took water samples on a periodic basis to test E. coli counts on Monday, according to the news release. The city said received results Tuesday and said the alert was lifted.
