Unlicensed lip filler lands Central Florida woman in jail, deputies say

Jaqueline Requena, 25, faces charges of unlicensed practice of healthcare profession

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – An Orlando woman has been jailed after she advertised lip filler services — all without a license, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

In an arrest report, deputies said the case actually stems back to February, when they learned that the woman — identified as Jaqueline Requena, 25 — was engaging in the unlicensed practice.

This culminated in an arrest warrant being issued for Requena on Monday for a charge of practicing healthcare without a valid license, resulting in serious bodily injury, the report shows.

However, state officials confirmed that she still didn’t have a license to practice medicine, and her Instagram account — “thefillereffect.beauty” — was still active and advertising lip filler services, deputies added.

As a result, deputies said an undercover person set up an appointment for lip filler with though the Instagram profile, scheduling it for Tuesday afternoon at Requena’s business in Casselberry.

Once the appointment actually took place, agents moved in to take Requena into custody, the arrest report states.

As such, she now faces an additional charge of unlicensed practice of a healthcare profession, court records reveal.
