ORLANDO, Fla. - A court hearing has been continued for a woman once charged with helping accused killer Markeith Loyd avoid capture during his manhunt.
Jameis Slaughter was expected to be in court Monday. A date for her next competency hearing has not been scheduled.
Felony charges of accessory to murder were dropped against Slaughter in March, but Loyd's former girlfriend is still charged with giving a fake name to investigators.
Lawyers say Slaughter is incompetent to stand trial because of mental illness. Slaughter was ordered to undergo evaluations in April, but only one has been performed.
Loyd stands charged of murder in the shooting deaths of his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Sade Dixon, and Orlando police Lt. Debra Clayton.
