ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County deputies are searching for burglars they say targeted a homeowner on vacation, getting into the home by using a spare key.
Deputies said the burglar came to the home in the North Shore at Lake Hart subdivision on July 16 and appeared to know where the spare key was hidden at the home. A few days later, the man came back while the homeowner was out of town and let himself in, taking $400 in cash, according to the report.
OCSO said they are urging residents not to advertise going on vacation on Facebook and to hide a spare key where only you know where it is.
